'Tis a popular time to be born. Because there have been so many birthdays going on since mid May, I have been a little busy making birthday cakes. Strawberry Shortcake, anyone?

Stunning! have you ever considered putting that fine clear glaze on top of the berries to sort of set them? (i'm not sure the formal name for it!)
